The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović is in official visit to Hungary, during which she met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.
At the meeting, the friendship between Hungary and the Republic of Srpska was confirmed, as well as the commitment to further improve political and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in BiH and the region, the migrant crisis, as well as European integration and EU enlargement policy.
On this occasion, the President of Srpska expressed her gratitude to the Government of Hungary for its solidarity and assistance during the fight against the Coronavirus.
At the meeting they discussed the establishment of a fund to support businesses from the Republic of Srpska in several sectors.
The interlocutors agreed that the opening of the Representation Office of Srpska in Budapest would represent a capacity for additional strengthening of political and economic cooperation, as well as cultural ties between the Republic of Srpska and Hungary.
The meeting with Minister Szijjártó represents the continuation of intensive cooperation between the officials of Srpska and Hungary, after the recent visit of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik.
