Within the two-day visit to Hungary, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today with the Minister for Families Katalin Novák.
The President of the Republic stated that within the framework of support to the family and the child, systemic measures are being taken that would replace several existing ones with the goal of better effect, and thus she discussed those experiences today with the Hungarian Minister for Families Katalin Novák.
The President of Srpska and the Hungarian Minister analysed certain measures that are in force within the family policy in Hungary, and it would be good to introduce them in Srpska as well.
“We have talked about it before in the Republic of Srpska. There is a whole set of different measures to support the family and the child. What we intend to do in the next period is to replace several existing ones through one or two systemic measures in order to have a better effect”, said the President of the Republic.
The President of the Republic of Srpska added that the effect will be better when the measure is targeted, and when seeing the results achieved in Hungary, she said she believes that it is best to draw on the experience that that country has.
The President of Srpska pointed out that this is a continuation of cooperation, with the assessment that it will be more and more concrete, and thanked for the great institutional and generous support that came during the crisis.
According to the President of the Republic, the most important for the society are the family and the child, the economy and everything that occurred in order to maintain the health sector during the pandemic, and when you look at it, you can see that the cooperation between Hungary and Srpska is as such as it should be.
The President of Srpska added that she was especially pleased with the announcement, and it refers to the establishment of a fund in the Republic of Srpska through which support for the economic sector will be realised.
