President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the management of the Hospital “Sveti Vračevi”

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today with the management of the Hospital “Sveti Vračevi” in Bijeljina.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the support of the republic and local institutions is on the side of the health sector, which bears the greatest burden of the crisis caused by the Coronavirus, and appealed to the citizens to respect the prescribed measures and make it easier for health workers.

After the meeting with the acting director of the Bijeljina Hospital “Sveti Vračevi” Zlatko Maksimović, which was also attended by the mayor of Bijeljina Mićo Mićić, the President Cvijanović said that health workers are very busy, especially now, during the epidemic, when a large number of patients are needed as well as the reorganisation and a completely different action course.

“They are the ones who work tirelessly and who, despite all these challenges and difficulties, do not lose their morale, they do not lose the desire for all of us to tackle these problems and overcome them. I am here to support them and to say that we deeply appreciate what is being done in this hospital and in hospitals throughout the Republic of Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska mentioned that it depends on the health workers what some things will look like in the end, but that the greatest responsibility lies with the citizens, to act in accordance with the prescribed measures.

“In this way, we can make the work easier for these people, which is otherwise difficult even in normal times”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic stressed that it proved to be excellent that a few years ago, dedicated work was carried out on building new hospitals, and reconstructing those where it was possible.

“It paid off since we created new capacities, procured new equipment and invested in the education of our staff, and what I heard here today is that we are going in that direction in the future as well. We have to educate people, send them for training, we have to invite experts to come here and I support the fact that such a practice exists within the work of the Hospital in Bijeljina”, said the President Cvijanović.
