President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the leadership of the Municipality of Rogatica

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today with the leadership of the Municipality of Rogatica.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that at a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality Milorad Jagodić it was agreed that the municipality candidates the project for reconstruction of the Elementary School from the Government of Serbia aid funds, which involves about 350,000 BAM.

The President Cvijanović assessed that the reconstruction project of the Elementary School in Rogatica will be on the project agenda accepted by Serbia.

The President of the Republic stated that within the framework of that reconstruction and upgrading, a kindergarten will be renovated, and that intervention will be done in order to finish it in the short term.

Speaking about the issue of the return of the Municipal Court to Rogatica, the President of Srpska said that after returning to Banja Luka, she would discuss this issue with the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, and that the municipality will do everything to gain conditions for the functioning of this institution, which is the need of citizens and the local community.

“We must work on joint activities and certain incentives to establish conditions for better employment. One of the things that is important to encourage young people, and the others as well, is the possibility of start-up support for launching a business when it comes to young people, but also supporting some other development projects”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that she observes the start-up support as a great chance, but that it was not popular enough, and that today’s visit to Rogatica is an opportunity to talk about it.

The President Cvijanović assessed that this possibility, with what the municipality is already doing, which is the revitalisation of some old business practices such as the textile industry, could give positive results.

The President of the Republic of Srpska supported the initiative to renovate buildings and the streets in the municipality of Rogatica, so that the citizens would have better and more beautiful living conditions.

“There remains a huge battle for additional employment and that will be carried out. We wish to continue our activities. Today’s meeting is the first step towards concretisation”, it was concluded by the President Cvijanović.
