President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the leadership of the municipality of Mrkonjić Grad

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today with the leadership of the municipality of Mrkonjić Grad.

The President of the Republic stated that this municipality is a successful and functional local community in which much has been done thanks to the joint activities of the municipality and the Government of Srpska.

The President of Srpska pointed out that she was especially happy since in the area of this municipality they managed to rehabilitate some economic entities which were destroyed during the war or had stopped working.

“Nothing could have happened if there were no responsible people at the local level, but also in the Government of Srpska who recognised that as one of the strategic priorities”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska said that she was happy because the Mayor Dragan Vođević also presented a plan for rehabilitation, reconstruction of road infrastructure.

“We will do it together with the local authorities, as well as everything else that helps people to stay here successfully or comfortably”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic pointed out that she was pleased with the intention of the municipality to, like other successful local communities, embark on a project of providing apartments for young married couples.

“I am glad since the needs for farmers are taken into account here, because sports life is successfully developed and because numerous associations can function normally”, said the President Cvijanović.

After the talks held with the municipal leadership, the President of Srpska visited the High School Centre in Mrkonjić Grad, which is in the phase of reconstruction.

“This school is an example of a project in which Serbia, the Government of Srpska, the Office of the President and the local community are involved together from different levels of government. All this should serve the well-being of our educators, and primarily our students, and we can be proud of that”, it was pointed out by the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic of Srpska expressed her gratitude to the local authorities in Mrkonjić Grad for their dedicated work, emphasizing that they have had good cooperation with the republic authorities throughout the years.

“When you have people who know how to apply for projects, to stand behind them and say how important they are for their local community, there is always room for the support of the Government. The quality of the project is the one that guarantees that you will receive support”, said the President Cvijanović.
