President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Head of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in BiH and the Sub-Regional Coordinator for the Western Balkans

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Head of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in BiH and the Sub-Regional Coordinator for the Western Balkans Laura Lungarotti.

On this occasion, it was pointed out that the cooperation of the institutions of Srpska with the International Organisation for Migration is good, and both sides expressed their commitment to further improvement.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska Dragan Lukač, they discussed the security situation in Srpska and BiH in respect of the migrant crisis, as well as the challenges faced by the competent institutions in that context.

At the meeting, they expressed the readiness of the institutions of Srpska to discuss ways of efficiently solving problems caused by the migrant crisis, and reiterated the position that there will be no camps for the accommodation of migrants on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.
