President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative to BiH

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her Office with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union and the EU Special Representative to BiH Johann Sattler and discussed the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska.

The process of European integration, with a special emphasis on fulfilling the key priorities defined by the European Commission for BiH, was discussed at the meeting.

On this occasion, the President Cvijanović pointed out that Srpska is committed to the European path, and added that this process must be carried out in accordance with the rules of the coordination mechanism, as well as with full respect for the constitutional position and competencies of the Republic of Srpska institutions.

During the meeting, they also discussed the current epidemiological situation, the measures taken by the institutions in order to mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic on the economy, as well as the possible support of the European Union to the tourism and agricultural sector in Srpska.
