President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Head of the Committee for Assistance to Kosovo and Metohija from the Republic of Srpska and the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija

The Republic of Srpska President Željka Cvijanović met today in Banja Luka with the Head of the Committee for Assistance to Kosovo and Metohija from the Republic of Srpska Milorad Arlov and the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Dušan Kozarev.

The situation in the southern Serbian province, the cooperation of the Republic of Srpska with the Serb institutions in Kosovo and Metohija and the visit of the delegation of the Alliance of Municipalities and Cities of the Republic of Srpska to Kosovo and Metohija were discussed at the meeting.

The President Cvijanović also emphasized that institutional support to the Serbs in the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija will not be ceased in the future, and that connection of the Republic of Srpska and Kosovo and Metohija will firmly be continued through various projects.

The President of the Republic expressed full solidarity with the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija and a full understanding of the difficulty of day-to-day life there, therefore supporting all initiatives related to helping the brotherly people in Kosovo and Metohija.

The President Cvijanović announced assistance to the Association of Parents of Children with the Special Needs “Podrži me” from the region of ​​four Serb municipalities, and reminded of the construction of a cultural centre of the Republic of Srpska in Kosovska Mitrovica, construction of a residential building for the most vulnerable Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and construction of the office for inter-municipal centre for social work in Kosovska Mitrovica.
