President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Director of “Sveti Vračevi” Hospital in Bijeljina

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Director of “Sveti Vračevi” Hospital in Bijeljina Zlatko Maksimović.

The current epidemiological situation in the area of Semberija and Republic of Srpska was discussed at the meeting, as well as the current process of procurement of vaccines and immunization of the population.

The President of the Republic of Srpska assessed that the epidemiological situation in Srpska is still complex, emphasizing that the republic institutions reacted in a timely manner, and that the investment in the health sector gave results.

During the meeting, the President Cvijanović pointed out that she highly appreciates the work and sacrifice of all health workers in the Republic of Srpska during the Coronavirus pandemic, and joined their appeals to the citizens of Srpska to get vaccinated in order to protect themselves and their families.

On this occasion, Director Maksimović presented the President Cvijanović with the monograph “Our fight against Covid”, created with the aim of informing the professional and common public about the contribution of health workers of the Bijeljina Hospital “Sveti Vračevi” in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

The monograph “Our fight against Covid” is the first of this type in Europe, and it was printed in three languages: Serbian, Russian and English.
