President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Apostolic Nuncio in BiH Luigi Pezzuto

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Apostolic Nuncio in BiH Luigi Pezzuto. During the meeting, which was attended by the Bishop of Banja Luka Franjo Komarica, the cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Srpska and the Catholic Church was discussed as well as the recent visit to the Vatican by a high level delegation from the Republic of Srpska and BiH. On this occasion, the good cooperation of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska with the Catholic Church was emphasized as well as the commitment that this cooperation will be further promoted through an open and honest dialogue. The President Cvijanović stressed that the Republic of Srpska is a mature democratic society, where each citizen is being respected and where religious freedom is guaranteed to members of all religious communities. The President of the Republic emphasized that all institutions of the Republic of Srpska will continue to support any activity aimed at improving relations and creating a positive environment for the coexistence of various religious communities in the Republic of Srpska and BiH.
