The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Ambassador of Turkey to BiH Haldun Koç.
The current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, enhanced cooperation between Turkey and Srpska and the implementation of joint projects in the field of economy and infrastructure were discussed at the meeting.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic of Srpska expressed satisfaction that the route of the future Belgrade-Sarajevo highway was defined, and stressed that this is a big infrastructure project that will give a strong stimulus to economic development and will contribute to the regional stability.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović highlighted that the Republic of Srpska is committed to the European integration, as well as to the implementation of reform processes aimed at improving the economic environment, and continuous and sustainable economic development.
In a conversation with the Ambassador of Turkey, the President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the formation of a new convocation of the Council of Ministers was a priority task that could not be the subject of political conditioning, and stressed that it was necessary to establish a legitimate and functional government at the level of BiH as soon as possible.
