President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to BiH

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to BiH Andrea Rauber Saxer.

The current political and economic issues in the Republic of Srpska and BiH were discussed at the meeting.

Also, the implementation of the Cooperation Strategy between Switzerland and BiH for the period from 2017 to 2020 was discussed, which covers the areas of health, economy, youth employment, judiciary, culture and development. Also, mutual interest was expressed on creating conditions for increasing economic cooperation and joint projects.

During the meeting, the President Cvijanović highlighted the commitment of the Republic of Srpska institutions to play an active role in the process of the European integration and the application of European values ​​and also reiterated that the EU accession process requires the coordination of all levels of government in BiH.

In this context, the need for a faster formation of government at the level of BiH was highlighted as a prerequisite for further continuation of socio-economic reforms and faster progress on the path towards the European Union, and it was concluded that the Republic of Srpska has shown efficiency in all these processes.
