Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met in her office with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy Marco Di Ruzza in an inaugural visit.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović informed Ambassador Di Ruzza about the current political and economic situation in Srpska and BiH, as well as the activities that the institutions of the Republic of Srpska, in accordance with their competencies, are carrying out with the aim of improving the economic environment.
During the meeting, the President Cvijanović emphasized the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska towards European integration, with consistent respect for the constitutional competencies of all levels of government in BiH and the Dayton Peace Agreement.
The interlocutors jointly assessed that the economic cooperation between Srpska and Italy is good, and emphasized that there is a significant potential to further improve friendly relations through the implementation of important projects in the fields of infrastructure, tourism and trade.
The President Cvijanović wished Ambassador Di Ruzza successful work, and expressed hope that during his mandate, relations between Srpska and Italy will be further strengthened in the future.
