President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH Guillaume Rousson.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the current political and economic issues, the activities of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska in the process of the European integration, and the possibilities for improving the economic and cultural cooperation between Srpska and France.

The President Cvijanović and the Ambassador Rousson discussed the formation of government at the BiH level and they jointly assessed that it is necessary to establish a stable government as soon as possible in order to continue the reform processes required for joining the European Union.

The President of the Republic pointed out that a number of foreign investments depend on political stability, and reminded that Srpska has shown its full capacity and ability to form the Government in the short term after the elections, to adopt strategic documents and to make significant progress in implementing the Reform Agenda.

On this occasion, the activities of the French development agency in BiH and the Republic of Srpska, which will finance projects in the fields of transport, regional integration, environment and climate, innovation and digital economy, have been announced and it is estimated that the economic relations between Srpska and France will be more substantial with the arrival of this agency.

The President of the Republic and the French Ambassador concluded that there is a wide range of opportunities for improving various forms of cooperation, such as education and culture.
