The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of Romania to BiH Dana-Manuela Constantinescu.
The current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, as well as different experiences and challenges that countries face in the process of European integration were discussed at the meeting.
The President Cvijanović and the Ambassador Constantinescu expressed their commitment that the cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Romania should be further intensified in the coming period.
The President of the Republic briefed the Ambassador of Romania about the political situation in Srpska and BiH, and stressed that, through the formation of the government and the adoption of strategic documents, the Republic of Srpska demonstrated political stability and confirmed full democratic capacity immediately after the elections.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović reiterated that the process of joining the European Union requires commitment and respect of the coordination mechanism, as well as the constitutional competences of all levels of government in BiH.
