The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Ambassador of Hungary to BiH Krisztián Pósa.
The current political situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, as well as the intensification of cooperation and experiences of Hungary in the context of the European integration were discussed at the meeting.
The President Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction with the fact that the Republic of Srpska completed the process of forming the government in December last year, demonstrating full democratic capacity, as well as securing political and institutional stability.
In a conversation with the Ambassador of Hungary, the President Cvijanović stressed that the Republic of Srpska, as well as its name, was a Dayton category, and that therefore the attempts to challenge it were anti-constitutional and, as such, were condemned to failure.
The President of the Republic expressed the commitment of the Republic of Srpska to the European integration, adding that the precondition for the continuation of the European path is to form a government at the BiH level, as well as to respect previously harmonised mechanism of coordination, which implies respecting the constitutional competences of all levels of government in BiH.
