President of the Republic of Srpska meets with Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić in Belgrade today.

Serbia will help introduce 500 digital classrooms across the Republic of Srpska next year, it was agreed in Belgrade at the meeting of the President of the Republic of Srpska and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, and a concrete agreement is expected in early September over all aspects of co-operation on the introduction of e-government in the Republic of Srpska and digital classrooms.

The President Cvijanović thanked the Prime Minister Brnabić for the great engagement since as the Prime Minister of Serbia invests in improving relations between Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, all institutions and members of the Government of Serbia. She also thanked the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, who, as the President of the Republic emphasized, insisted for several years for Serbia and the Republic of Srpska to acquire concrete and measurable results.

“After a few years today, we can say that this cooperation is concrete, that the results are measurable and that today it offers its full effects”, said the President Cvijanović, adding that Serbia has finally achieved the goal of leaving its financial resources and support for various projects in to each municipality in the Republic of Srpska.

“We are extremely grateful for such support since I know how important it is for such cooperation to exist”, it was added by the President of the Republic.

The President Cvijanović stated that she knew how important infrastructure projects were to the needs of the citizens.

“We talked about upgrades for all the projects that have been implemented so far, and this primarily refers to all our needs that we have today when we went into serious higher education reforms, but also tackled the serious modernisation of the education and the teaching process when it comes to primary and secondary schools, as well as pre-school education”, said the President Cvijanović and pointed out that the Republic of Srpska needs support coming from Serbia in all these matters.

“We are grateful to have received this support and to make our previous arrangements concrete. From September, when we paper all that and when we start the implementation in the next calendar year, we will be able to say that in this important field, such as education, we will cooperate and work together”, said the President of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović stated that Serbia has invested more than € 30 million in concrete projects in all municipalities of Srpska.
