President of the Republic of Srpska meets with Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to BiH

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to BiH Avgustina Tzvetkova  Karabascheva.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska, BiH and the region, as well as the activities carried out by the institutions of the Republic of Srpska in the process of the European integration.

At the meeting, they also discussed the results of public research in the Western Balkan countries, views on the European Union and Bulgaria’s role in supporting the EU accession process.

The President Cvijanović reiterated the commitment of the Srpska institutions to the European integration process and said that there are numerous challenges facing Srpska, BiH and the Western Balkan countries, and that only candidate status can keep the EU integration process active.

The interlocutors expressed the expectation that good cooperation between Srpska and Bulgaria would be improved so far and noted that Bulgaria has already been present in Srpska through the implementation of various projects in many municipalities and cities in the field of culture, sport and education.
