President of the Republic of Srpska meets in Washington with the Special Representative of the United States of America for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in Washington with the Special Representative of the United States of America for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, as well as on important regional issues.

During the meeting, the President of Srpska emphasized that the preservation of peace and stability are permanent priorities of the Republic of Srpska, and that internal dialogue and consistent compliance with the Dayton Agreement are prerequisites for overcoming political crises in BiH.

The President Cvijanović expressed the commitment of the institutions of Srpska to participate in the regional initiative Open Balkans, as well as her satisfaction that the United States of America supports this project.
