President of the Republic of Srpska meets in Washington with Congressman Robert Aderholt

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in Washington with Congressman Robert Aderholt and discussed the current political situation in BiH and the region.

The relations between the Republic of Srpska and the United States of America were discussed, and the need to improve all types of cooperation, as well as political understanding was pointed out.

On this occasion, the President of Srpska informed Congressman Aderholt about the position of the Republic of Srpska in the context of the current political situation in BiH, and expressed commitment to dialogue and peaceful resolution of open political issues, in accordance with the Dayton Accords and the BiH Constitution.

During the meeting, the President Cvijanović pointed out that Srpska is committed to strengthening regional cooperation, and that in that domain it strongly advocates joining the Open Balkans initiative, which aims to remove barriers and speed up economic development of all countries in the region.
