The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met in Washington today in separate meetings with Congressmen in the United States House of Representatives, Steve Stivers from Ohio and Robert Aderholt from Alabama.
At the meetings held in the US Congress, the President Cvijanović briefed congressmen on political and economic opportunities in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, and the interlocutors exchanged views on current security challenges in the country and the region, with a particular focus on the migrant crisis and the return of BiH citizens from foreign battlefields.
During the meetings with US Congressmen, the President Cvijanović highlighted that the Republic of Srpska was committed to economic development, implementation of socio-economic reforms and improvement of economic environment, and emphasized that it makes Srpska a stable environment and an attractive destination for investors and their businesses.
