The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović held a meeting today in the Palace of the Republic with representatives of cultural institutions, associations and artists of various profiles.
The initiative of the President Cvijanović on the establishment of the Council for Creative Industries of the Republic of Srpska was welcomed at the meeting, which will operate within the Office of the President of the Republic.
The task of the future Council is to map, i.e. propose measures, activities and initiatives of creative industries in the Republic of Srpska in order to make a review based on facts about how those industries contribute to social and economic development and increase the international recognition of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic stated that she supports any activity that can contribute to the development of society as a whole, and that through creative industries, the Republic of Srpska adapts to modern trends and new industries.
Also, as the President of the Republic pointed out, it is necessary to change the existing legal regulations, as well as tax relief, so that many talented young people would be more competitive and could put themselves economically in the function of the development of society.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović pointed out that the formation of the Council is one of the types of institutional support, which will gather creative and talented people who represent a huge driving force of the Republic of Srpska, and emphasized that there is a huge potential in that area.
