President of the Republic of Srpska holds a meeting with members of the Council for the Demographic Policy of the Republic of Srpska

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović held a meeting with the members of the Council for the Demographic Policy of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka today.

A professional analysis with guidelines will be made until September in order to improve the demographic development in the Republic of Srpska, it was said in Banja Luka today at the meeting of the President of Srpska with the members of the republic’s Council for Demographic Policy.

The President Cvijanović emphasized that the Council for the Demographic Policy of Srpska will especially deal with the harmonisation of work and parenting, i.e. the establishment of a more moderate working time that will be in line with parenting.

“We had a successful working meeting that was in line with what we announced within the introduction of the National Programme for Demographic Reconstruction, and the thing is that the most relevant institutions will be gathered around this programme. There will be analyzes with recommendations made so everyone can sublimate and have targeted measures”, said the President of the Republic.

The President Cvijanović said that the Council analyzes the existing financial measures and defines non-financial ones which are long-term and are of great importance for the implementation of the National Programme for Demographic Reconstruction.

“We shall focus ourselves on concrete analyzes and research, among which are those conducted among mothers in Srpska. It is also important to establish a population register of the Republic of Srpska and a social map, but it is also important because strategies in this field will use the analyzes and guidelines previously made”, said the President of Srpska, and noted that the important measure and inclusion of certain topics in the school programme that relate to family values ​​and reproductive health.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that she would be involved in several important projects in Srpska that will relate to reproductive and general health.
