President of the Republic of Srpska holds a meeting dedicated to the European integration process

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović organised a meeting dedicated to the European integration process in the Palace of the Republic today.

The meeting was attended, among others, by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković, Minister of the European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić, Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government Lejla Rešić, Minister of Finance Zora Vidović and a Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and a candidate for Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija and thus satisfaction was expressed since the Government of the Republic of Srpska was the first in BiH to verify the consolidated translated answers to additional questions from the European Commission`s Questionnaire and the expectation that other levels of government in BiH will implement the relevant procedure in the shortest possible period, so that BiH answers to additional questions could be sent to the European Commission as soon as possible.

The participants of the meeting gave full support to the further movement of BiH in the process of the European integration, and once again emphasized that all issues related to this process must be addressed through the structures and rules of the harmonised system of coordination of the process of European integration in BiH with full respect for the constitutional position and competences of the Republic of Srpska and its institutions.

At the meeting, it was stated that it is necessary to form a new convocation of Council of Ministers as soon as possible, since only in this way the appropriate conditions will be created for efficient communication between the entities and levels of joint institutions. Thus, conditions will also be created to smoothly fulfilling the very demanding tasks facing BiH as a whole, particularly its entities, in the integration process in the coming period.
