President of the Republic of Srpska gives mandate to Radovan Višković for the composition of the new Government of the Republic of Srpska

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović today officially gave mandate to Radovan Višković for the composition of the new Government of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of the Republic of Srpska expressed conviction that Radovan Višković would succeed in forming a new government very soon so the institutions of the Republic could continue its functioning without any delay.

The President Cvijanović recalled that Radovan Višković was a part of a great team working for the Republic of Srpska for years and that she had a good cooperation with him so far.

“I believe that we will have the government very soon so we could continue to do a good job for the Republic and for our citizens”, said the President of the Republic.

According to the President of Srpska, the Republic of Srpska will continue to function without delay.

“It is important for the citizens that our institutions do a good job together. All formal conditions have been fulfilled so we could continue to work in a different way, and in particular to open the space for Radovan Višković, without any waiting, to start consultations with political parties and social partners”, it was added by the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic expects the new government of the Republic of Srpska to continue with the positive trends which were recorded in the previous period.

“I am pleased with the fact that I can say that it will be easier for the new Prime Minister to enter into all the matters, since there are no excessive financial problems. This is the time of stability of our Republic and institutions, and the elections have shown that the citizens want a stable parliamentary majority”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović assessed that the work would be significantly facilitated, since Milorad Dodik is a newly elected member of the BiH Presidency from the Republic of Srpska and that, at the level of BiH, during the formation of the government, a serious team will be established which will cooperate with Srpska.

“As the President of the Republic, I will put myself at disposal to the new government. I expect from the new government to foster social dialogue, which we did in the previous period, and it proved to be right. We have succeeded with social partners, who I am grateful to, to define many good solutions”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of Srpska stated that there were many challenges in front of the Republic of Srpska, politically open processes, unfinished issues, a lot of misunderstanding, but also said that the environment in BiH often does not suit the citizens.

“The greater is our role, commitment, will and persistence to do a good job for the Republic of Srpska. I am sure that the new government, led by Radovan Višković, will function well”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic emphasized that the reorganisation of the Government and ministries would be carried out and that the focus would be on the economy.

“We will probably reorganise the Ministry of Science and Technology, which should be the ministry of science, higher education and modern technologies or an information society. We want to keep up with the needs of today’s time”, it was said by the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović said that a program called “Srpska – Society on the Move” will be launched with the aim of creating new jobs, identifying areas that offer greater employment.
