President of the Republic of Srpska extends congratulations on the occasion of the new school year

On the occasion of the new 2020/2021 school year, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to the students and their parents, teachers, as well as employees in education sector.

“I congratulate all primary and secondary school students on the beginning of the new school year, and I pay special attention and congratulations to the youngest schoolchildren, our first-graders, who are sitting in the schools for the first time.

The beginning of the teaching process this school year is a great event, but also a challenge and responsibility for everyone. I am convinced that, with respect to all measures and recommendations of the profession, the teaching in the classrooms will proceed smoothly, and that the changed conditions will not diminish the value of a new beginning and opportunities for progress.

I take this opportunity to congratulate the educators and the public service on the successful implementation of the distance learning programme and express my gratitude for their contribution and effort in organising the educational process during the epidemic.

We also owe a great deal of gratitude to the students and their parents, who showed great sacrifice, responsibility and patience during the distance teaching.

Dear students, I wish you the best possible success in this school year. I hope you will successfully overcome all obstacles and I wish the best results and good health will accompany you on the path of knowledge”, reads the congratulation note by the President Cvijanović.
