President of the Republic of Srpska extends congratulations on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Srpska Veterans

On the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Srpska Veterans and the First Serbian Uprising, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to the Head of the Veterans Organisation of the Republic of Srpska Milomir Savčić and all former members of the Republic of Srpska Army.

„On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my behalf, I extend sincerest congratulations to all the veterans of the Republic of Srpska over the Day of the Veterans of the Republic of Srpska and the First Serbian Uprising.

For all of us, the Day of the Republic of Srpska Veterans is a day when we remember with the greatest respect all those who are most responsible for the freedom we enjoy today.

The role and importance given by veterans in the creation and preservation of the Republic of Srpska are immeasurable and oblige us to safeguard and strengthen the Republic of Srpska as well as to provide all possible assistance and support to the families of fallen soldiers, war veterans and demobilised veterans.

The lasting commitment of the Republic of Srpska institutions remains to continue to work to improve their position in society in co-operation with all organisations stemming from the Defense and Homeland War”, reads the congratulation note by the President Cvijanović.
