President of the Republic of Srpska extends congratulations on the occasion of May 12 – the Day of the Army of the Republic of Srpska and the Day of the Third Infantry (Republic of Srpska) Regiment

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended a congratulation note to all members of the Republic of Srpska Army and the Third Infantry Regiment (Republic of Srpska) of the Armed Forces of BiH on the occasion of the May 12 – the Day of the Republic of Srpska Army.

“On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and my own behalf, I congratulate all the members of the Army of the Republic of Srpska and the Third Infantry Regiment (Republic of Srpska) of the Armed Forces of BiH on the occasion of May 12 – the Day of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

The decision to create the Republic of Srpska Army, which was passed on May 12, 1992, was historical and it was a precondition for the defense and protection of the Serb people at its centuries-old hearths.

Guided by honest goals and selfless courage, defending the right to life and freedom of its people, the Republic of Srpska Army played a decisive role in the defense of the Republic of Srpska.

Marking the Army Day is an opportunity to remember all the members of the army with immense gratefulness and special piety as those who gave their lives and parts of their bodies so that we can live in the free Republic of Srpska today.

I am convinced that the Third Infantry Regiment (Republic of Srpska) will continue to inherit the values, tradition and cultural and historical heritage of the Republic of Srpska Army with pride and respect”, said the President Cvijanović in her congratulation note.
