The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations on the occasion of April 4 – the Republic of Srpska Police Day to the Minister of the Interior Dragan Lukač, Police Director Darko Ćulum and all members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
“On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my behalf, I extend my sincere congratulations to you and to all members of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska on the occasion of April 4, the Republic of Srpska Police Day.
The day when the Republic of Srpska Police was formed is one of the most important dates we have marked, and this year the Ministry of the Interior guarantees our citizens that they will live more peacefully and safely, and that the Republic will enjoy the stability it deserves.
The role of police officers is extremely important in this difficult time for the Republic of Srpska, which, like the whole world, is facing major challenges of the pandemic corona virus.
In order to control and combat the spread of this pandemic, to prevent the disturbance of public order and peace and to implement established measures and activities, the police members have put all their capacities in order to organise the functioning of life in extraordinary circumstances and preserve the health and lives of our citizens.
On Police Day, with great gratitude and special fervor, we remember all members of the police forces, participants in the Defense and Fatherland War, who have woven their lives and body parts into the foundations of the Republic of Srpska, protecting their people and the freedom we enjoy today.
I am convinced that you will continue to be the guarantor of security and stability in the Republic of Srpska in the future, I wish you to continue to successfully realise your plans and achieve even greater success and results in your work”, reads the congratulations note of the President of the Republic of Srpska.
