President of the Republic of Srpska extends congratulations on the occasion of April 4 – the Day of the Republic of Srpska Police

On the occasion of April 4 – the Day of the Police of the Republic of Srpska, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to the Minister of the Interior Dragan Lukač, the Police Director Siniša Kostrešević and all members of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska.

“On the occasion of April 4 – the Republic of Srpska Police Day, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend my sincere congratulations to you and all members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska.

The day when the Republic of Srpska Police was formed is one of the most important dates we celebrate. Today, with gratitude and respect, we remember all members of the police who, along with the soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska, defended the Republic, and particularly towards those who gave their lives or body parts, protecting their people and the freedom we enjoy today.

In preserving the hard-won freedom of the Republic of Srpska, as a pillar of security and guardian of order, every day members of the police put their skills and abilities in the service of the citizens and the Republic, thus, we sincerely thank them for that.

Only a professional and well-equipped police force can respond to today’s most complex security challenges. Accordingly, the responsibility of the institutions is to create preconditions for their strengthening, in order to perform this frequent, responsible and humane vocation as well as possible.
