“On the occasion of April 22 – the Day of the City and the Day of Liberation of Banja Luka from Fascism in the Second World War, one of the most important dates in the history of the city, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you.
While celebrating the 76th anniversary, we remember and pay tribute to the fallen fighters of the NOR, the liberators of Banja Luka, who made a huge contribution to the anti-fascist struggle and enabled us to enjoy the achievements of peace and life in freedom.
Today, almost eight decades later, Banja Luka is a modern city, administrative, economic, university, cultural and sports centre of the Republic of Srpska, a city of great opportunities and potentials.
Convinced that together we will continue with the development of the city and focus all available resources and activities on creating conditions for a better life for the citizens, and on the completion of numerous capital projects, I cordially greet you”, reads the congratulation note by the President Cvijanović.
