On the occasion of April 22 – the City Day and the Day of Liberation of Banja Luka from Fascism in the World War II, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to the Mayor Igor Radojičić and the citizens of Banja Luka.

“I extend congratulations to you, the President of the City Assembly, the councilors, the employees of the City Administration and all the citizens of Banja Luka on April 22 – the City Day and the Day of Liberation of Banja Luka from Fascism in the World War II.

The day of Banja Luka’s liberation from Fascism in the World War II represents one of the most significant dates in the history of the city. Today, proud of the glorious anti-fascist past, we remember and pay tribute to the liberators of Banja Luka, who had laid down their lives in the fight for freedom, high ideals and goals.

Although we mark this important date, symbolizing resistance and victory, in different circumstances this year, I am convinced that Banja Luka, as many times before, with responsibility and solidarity of all of us, will successfully overcome all challenges in the new situation.

In that spirit, I express my full support and conviction that you will soon continue to follow the path of development and prosperity, for the benefit of all citizens of Banja Luka, but also of the Republic of Srpska”, reads the congratulation message by the President of the Republic of Srpska.
