President of the Republic of Srpska extends a telegram of condolences to the family of deceased Ilija Ivanović

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended a telegram of condolences to the Ivanović family over the death of Ilija Ivanović, the last survivor of the breakthrough from the Jasenovac concentration camp in April 1945.

“I am truly saddened by the news about the death of Ilija Ivanović. As a patriot, Ilija Ivanović made a major contribution to shedding light over the truth about the suffering of the Serbs in the World War II and testified about the torture in the Jasenovac NDH camp.

On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend my sincere condolences and sympathy to you”, reads the telegram of condolences by the President Cvijanović.
