President of the Republic of Srpska chairs the First Session of the Organising Committee for the Commemoration of the Victims of the Crime-Genocide of the Independent State of Croatia / NDH / in the Jasenovac Concentration Camp and its largest execution site Donja Gradina
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović chaired today, in the Palace of the Republic, the first session of the Organising Committee for Commemoration of the Victims of the Crime – Genocide of the Independent State of Croatia / NDH / in the Jasenovac Concentration Camp and its largest execution site Donja Gradina.
At the session, the President and Vice-President of the Organising Committee were elected and the members of the Executive Board were appointed. Also, the framework programme of memorials and commemoration of the victims of genocide was determined.
According to the programme, the central event marking the memorial service and commemoration of the victims of the Ustasha crime-genocide in the Jasenovac concentration camp and its largest execution site Donja Gradina will be held on May 1, 2022, and the day before, on April 30, 2022, a Spiritual Academy dedicated to all Jasenovac victims will be held in Kozarska Dubica.
The Organising Committee invites all citizens of the Republic of Srpska to attend the marking of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Ustasha Crime-Genocide from the Second World War in Donja Gradina.
