President of the Republic of Srpska chairs the first session of the Committee for marking the Day of the Republic in 2022

Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović chaired the first session of the Committee for marking the Day of the Republic 2022.

At the session held in the Palace of the Republic, the Committee for Marking the Day of the Republic was elected, the preliminary proposal of the Programme for the Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Republic of Srpska was adopted and the Working Group for the Preparation and Realisation of the Republic Day Celebration was formed.

On the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Republic in 2022, the members of the Board determined that the central events will be the ceremonial parade on Krajina Square and the ceremonial academy in the Sports Hall “Borik“.

The programme envisages the awarding of decorations to most deserving institutions and individuals, which will be held at the Palace of the Republic, as well as laying wreaths and flowers at the monuments to fallen soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska, Military Cemetery „Mali Zejtinlik“, Monument to the NOR veterans, Memorial to 12 Banja Luka Babies and the memorial of the former President of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Milan Jelić.

At the session of the Committee, it was determined that the celebration of the Day of the Republic begins on January 8 and ends on January 10, with the celebration of the Day of the Republic in the Brčko District.

At the end of the Republic Day celebration fireworks will be displayed, and on the plateau in front of the Palace of the Republic, a performance will be held by the Police Orchestra of the Republic of Srpska, as well as concerts by music artists from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović.
