President of the Republic of Srpska chairs the first meeting of the Organising Committee of the Republican Finals of the Republic of Srpska Small Olympic Games for the 2019/2020 school year

The President the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović chaired today the first meeting of the Organising Committee of the Republican Finals of the Republic of Srpska Small Olympic Games (MOI RS) for the 2019/2020 school year.

At the meeting, held at the Palace of the Republic, a plan for the organisation and implementation of this significant sporting event was determined, in which primary and secondary school students compete in various sports at the municipal, regional and republic levels.

On this occasion, the President of the Republic stressed that she was pleased to sponsor this year’s Republican Finals of the Republic of Srpska Small Olympic Games and added that she supports all manifestations aimed at promoting school sports and healthy lifestyles.

The President Cvijanović highlighted that sport is not just a competition because it also encompasses other positive values that children acquire during their development, and that the main objective of school sports is the physical, intellectual, moral, social and cultural development of students.

At the meeting, it was assessed that the goal of the new concept of the Republic Finals was a more significant and striking positioning of school sports, that is, the promotion of school sports, youth and sports future of the Republic of Srpska.

This year, the 17th Republican Finals, MOI RS, which will be held in Banja Luka for all sports, will be the crown this months-long event with participation of about two thousand students and professors of physical education.
