President of the Republic of Srpska attends the solemn act of enthronement of His Holiness Porfirije
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended today, in the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Belgrade, the solemn act of enthronement of His Holiness Porfirije to the holiest throne of the Archbishop of Peć, Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovac and the Serbian Patriarch.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the enthronement and election of His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia are very important for the believing Orthodox and the Serb people in Serbia, Srpska, in the diaspora and around the world.
The President Cvijanović pointed out that the representatives of the institutions of Srpska were pleased and honored since they attended the great act of enthronement of His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch.
The President of the Republic said that the believing Serb people and their institutions have faith and hope for the future, knowing that together with the Serbian Orthodox Church they cooperate and do achieve common goals.
After the solemn act of enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia in the Belgrade Church, the President Cvijanović said that Srpska has always nurtured special ties towards the Serbian Orthodox Church, which in that regard takes an important place when it comes to the Republic, its representatives and people.
