President of the Republic of Srpska attends the Regional Prayer Breakfast in Bucharest

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the Regional Prayer Breakfast organised by the Romanian Parliament in Bucharest.

The event brought together representatives of the political, economic and non-governmental sectors from the countries of Southeast Europe, the United States and the European Union, with the aim of establishing better cooperation between the countries of the region.

The President Cvijanović participated in the plenary session on the topic: “Leadership in Politics, Education and Diplomacy in the Context of Sustainable Peace in Society”.

Earlier, the President of the Republic met with the Member of the Romanian Parliament and the President of the Association of Serbs in Romania Ognjen Krstić.

At a meeting in the Romanian Parliament, attended by BiH Ambassador to Romania Slaviša Ćeranić, the Association President briefed the President Cvijanović on the position of members of the Serb community in Romania, the challenges they face and the prospects for the survival of the Serb minority in Romania.

The President Cvijanović expressed satisfaction with the commitment of the Serb national minority in Romania that, gathered around the Association of Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Timisoara, they actively work on preserving ethnic identity, mother tongue and all rights belonging to minorities through political processes.
