The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended tonight in Banja Luka the ceremonial opening of the National Tennis Centre of the Tennis Association of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of Srpska pointed out that she wants the National Tennis Centre of the Tennis Association of the Republic of Srpska to show itself in the best light, to justify its purpose and to serve to the pride of this city and the Republic.
The President of the Republic thanked the family of Novak Đoković, the republic institutions, the City of Banja Luka and all good people who supported the implementation of this great, national project.
“We have shown the ability to mobilise in a short period. We succeeded in a very short time because we knew why we were doing it and we knew we had a goal”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic expressed her gratitude to Novak Đoković, whose wonderful address at the beginning of the ceremony encouraged the people of Banja Luka and everyone in the Republic of Srpska.
“We do not need to explain how proud we are of him and how much he means to us. Also, we know that we mean the same to him and that is why we are looking forward to his each arrival here. We want this ground to be shown in the best light and to justify why it was made here and why it serves to the pride of Banja Luka and Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that due to the joint engagement of the Đoković family and the republic institutions, as well as the City of Banja Luka, the National Tennis Centre was opened tonight.
According to the President Cvijanović, many children in Banja Luka and Srpska are fans of tennis and Novak as well, many wanted to follow him, love this sport and do their best to show and prove themselves there.
“But sports life is sports life and we could learn a lot from good athletes, thank God we have many to be proud of, from which we could learn a lot in the previous period. I believe in our future generations, I know why we are doing this, I know that there is that goal and that Srpska is stronger every day”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of Srpska said that the connection between the Republic of Srpska and Serbia is unbreakable.
The President of the Republic ofSrpska added that this is one of the projects that certainly has a national character, but that also numerous other projects that essentially connect Srpska and Serbia speak of that inseparable connection.
“Long live sports, long live Novak, long live tennis, long live the Republic of Srpska and Serbia which always stands by us”, said the President Cvijanović.
The ceremony was also attended by the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković, the President of the Tennis Association of the Republic of Srpska Draško Milinović, the Sports Director of the Tennis Association of Serbia Aleksandar Bolić and Srđan Đoković, the father of the world’s best tennis player Novak Đoković.
