Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the commissioning of a new, modern angio-room in the Department of Clinical Radiology of the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the opening of the most modern angio-room in the region, at the University Clinical Centre of Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka, shows the strength of Srpska, which takes care of modernising the health sector and services even in difficult times of the Coronavirus pandemic.

After the opening, the President Cvijanović stated that even in normal times, equipping a modern angio-room would be a great undertaking in the health sector of every country.

“And when we do that at this time when we are pressed by the great crisis caused by the pandemic, then it is a matter of admiration”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic thanked all health workers in Srpska for their dedication, as well as all those who contribute to reducing the influx of patients.

“These are all those citizens who see the account of their behavior, try to protect themselves and others as much as possible, and thus facilitate the work of these people, who work tirelessly, in a way that causes admiration of all of us. It is up to us to help them keep their workload to a minimum”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska emphasized that the manner in which the work at the University Clinical Centre is arranged, which carries a huge burden and which is most exposed to burdens, is to be commended.

“It is to praise the rapid reorganisation of hospital life here, the provision of services precisely due to this pandemic, and that is the thing that people here are dedicated to. In just a few days, they separated certain services, in order to treat people who are infected in a special way, without endangering all those who need another type of intervention and treatments”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic pointed out that health workers are the heroes of this time.

“We must look for every possible way to repay them as a society and as institutions, and I am sure that we will do so. We must understand that we, as the citizens, are the ones who can primarily contribute to reducing the pressure on the health sector”, said the President of the Republic and noted that a huge number of people are infected, and especially the problem is that many people have a difficult clinical picture.

“What is happening to them should be a warning to all of us”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović stated that citizens wear masks to protect themselves and others, adding that this is one of the measures that can prevent the spread of the epidemic and take care of public health.

“Keep your distance, wear a mask, do not go to big gatherings. We are all eager for life, we all want to function with full lungs, but this time requires us to wear masks, not because someone prescribed it, but because it saves our lives and the lives of all the people around us”, said the President of Republic of Srpska.
