President of the Republic of Srpska attends the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of all Serbs killed and expelled in the armed operation “Storm”

Tonight, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the marking of the Day of Remembrance of all the victims and expelled Serbs in the armed operation “Storm” held in the Krajina settlement of Busije.

The President of the Republic stated that the Croatian military operation “Storm” was a brutal crime and much more than ethnic cleansing, which is unfortunately still unpunished.

“Everything that deserved to be punished in that period remained unpunished”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic stated that the people who were expelled from their homes found homes primarily in Serbia, but also in the Republic of Srpska.

“Srpska tried to show to these exiled Serbs that they are all together, part of the same people, and that the fact that they came to live in the Republic of Srpska should not diminish their importance or faith that they have another home there”, said the President of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović pointed out that bitterness remains because people have been expelled from their homes, because someone is carrying out ethnic cleansing, but also there is a revolt by the fact that many crimes remain unpunished.

But, nothing happens by chance, even today, because, if you look at all the events from the beginning of the war until today, one thread that existed from the beginning is recognisable.

That is, that certain things were projected and sponsored by the international community, that a black-and-white picture was made, that some were always classified within the white picture, and others within the black picture”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

“Our concern for the Republic of Srpska today shows our determination to fight against such stereotypes and to try to fix what was an injustice today”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska pointed out that she believes in the Republic of Srpska and that the Serb people would know how to remember what are grave crimes, but they would also know how to build what is called a common future.

The commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of all Serbs killed and expelled in the armed action “Storm” this year was held under the slogan “God of Justice”, attended by the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić, Serb member to the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković, representatives of the Serbs from the region, numerous associations and exiled people of Krajina.
