President of the Republic of Srpska attends the ceremonial academy marking the Day of the Arrival of the Serbian Army in Banja Luka in 1918

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the ceremonial academy in Banja Luka on the occasion of marking the Day of the Serbian Army’s arrival in Banja Luka in 1918.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the goal of the Serb people was always freedom and that the path was always difficult.

“We proudly remember the tenacity of the Serbian army. There is no record from that time that does not mention the entry of the army in Banja Luka and its battles with great respect” said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic stated that it was necessary to build a monument to the Serbian soldier in Banja Luka.

“Not enough significance was given to the victims, due to the circumstances in society at the time. The Republic of Srpska is trying to correct this injustice”, it was added by the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of Srpska assessed that after centuries of suffering we need peace, stability and freedom.
