President of the Republic of Srpska attends the academy on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the „Holy Apostle Luka“ Hospital in Doboj
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended today in Doboj the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the “Holy Apostle Luka” Hospital.
The President of the Republic of Srpska assessed that this is a great jubilee, 70 years of an important part of the health system, and reminded that the hospital in Doboj has passed through various phases and difficult times.
The President of the Republic pointed out that she is happy that, when the jubilee is being celebrated, there is a talk that this city will get a modern health centre within the set deadlines.
“I believe that Doboj will be recognised completely differently with the new hospital. Doboj offers great opportunities, has great capacities and potentials. This is the debt of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska towards our citizens, health workers and the region”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic emphasized that she was pleased since the goal had been achieved in the Republic of Srpska in the past ten years – that each region has a new hospital with the most modern equipment, where people would be sent for additional education, various exchanges, attract experts and send domestic staff to improve the health sector.
The President of the Republic of Srpska thanked all the medical workers, for whom she said that they had borne a heavy burden not only during the war, which was extremely difficult, but also in recent times.
“They dealt with the pandemic in the best possible way, and we and the patients owe them great gratitude”, said the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska extended congratulations to all health workers, explaining that every time such an important jubilee is celebrated, it refers to all medical workers. The President of Srpska pointed out the importance of improving all other segments of society and community, and reminded that in addition to the hospital, in the area of Doboj, there are also renovations of schools and other facilities, i.e. everything that should serve the citizens.
The President Cvijanović reminded of investments in road infrastructure, when it comes to highways, connecting all parts of the Republic of Srpska, the connection with Serbia which is planned, as well as the connection with Croatia.
