The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended St. Sava Ball which is traditionally held for the 22nd time and organised by the Serbian Centre and the Association of Serbian Clubs in Vienna.
Addressing the audience, the President Cvijanović emphasized the importance of the manifestation, which, as she pointed out, enriched the tradition and spirit of the Serb people living in Austria.
The President of the Republic welcomed the need of our people in this region to gather around the Serbian community, and nurture and refine their tradition and spirit, stressing that the institutions of the Republic of Srpska are committed to systematically strengthen and develop economic and cultural cooperation between the mother country and the Serbian people abroad.
St. Sava Ball is a traditional manifestation that dates back to ancient 1864. The tradition of holding the Serbian Ball in the Austrian capital was revived by the Serbian Centre from Vienna 22 years ago.
St. Sava Ball, which was integrated in the calendar of the ball season in Vienna, as every year, was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, Austrian political, cultural and public life, as well as by guests from other countries.
