The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended marking of the 44th anniversary of the Faculty of Law at the University of Banja Luka.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the Faculty of Law in Banja Luka is an important educational institution that produces quality and promising cadre and shows that it is possible to survive in difficult times.
“The vocation of lawyer is a needed cadre. With this vocation you have a place in everything, whether it relates institutions or businesses”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic emphasized that the Government and institutions will strengthen the education system in the future aiming to modernise the teaching process in order to keep up with the needs of the labor market and global challenges.
“The goal is to create better conditions for studying. In the previous period, we have invested 110 million BAM in higher education, and 45 million BAM was invested in the University of Banja Luka. This implied the construction of new faculties, the adaptation, rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing facilities, the construction of new student dormitories, etc. This is a great financial activity and this will be continued”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the 21st century is a century of knowledge, which is not possible to have without strong education.
The President Cvijanović congratulated students who were promoted at today’s ceremony, as well as their families.
