President of the Republic of Srpska attends marking of Derventa Municipality Day

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the marking of Derventa Municipality Day.

The President of the Republic stated that today the municipality of Derventa is an organised, successful and stable local community whose leadership has invested a lot of efforts and energy to create a good business environment in it.

“This has all resulted in a significant business initiative, numerous business subjects and they are definitely at the top of all economic activities when it comes to the entire vision of the Republic of Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic emphasized that the municipality of Derventa has made a significant contribution to exports and all other economic activities, adding that it was all more significant if one knew how much Derventa had been destroyed, how it had suffered and how many victims it had during the past war, which did happen not so long ago.

“However, if you go through everything with such big steps all those years and if you reach this level of development, it is a big deal”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska pointed out that the republican institutions had invested approximately 60 million BAM in Derventa in recent years, supporting all those important projects that had been prioritised by the local authorities.

The President of the Republic noted that last year republican institutions had invested one million BAM in this municipality.

The President Cvijanović said that as the President of the Republic of Srpska she strives to support all good projects, from sports fields, kindergartens and all the needs that are necessary for the development of this local community and expressed her satisfaction that she has a good cooperation with this local community and that this cooperation has always resulted with good projects.

The President of Srpska is pleased since Derventa is taking great strides forward and celebrating various centennials and other important anniversaries.

“This shows that Derventa has a tradition, that there is continuity regardless of the difficult times that interrupted this entire development path of this local community”, it was concluded by the President Cvijanović.
