President of the Republic of Srpska attends evening liturgy and an oak log consecration

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended the evening liturgy and consecration of an oak log at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that Srpska will become stronger, better and more developed year after year.

“This implies that the institutions of the Republic of Srpska are functioning well and that we are united around our main goals, namely peace, stability and the interests of the Republic of Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic said that this implies that local communities and young generations are also taken into account.

“All that we do today is for the sake of future generations. That is the life and persistence of the Republic of Srpska”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska added that this year the Day of the Republic will be marked under the slogan “For All Times” which speaks more than any message or a sentence.

“The Republic of Srpska serves us forever, it is here to last. It was not created to be a passing category. I know that citizens deeply feel the importance of Srpska because they are aware of how important it is for our lives and for generations to come. Therefore, this is our attitude towards all who gave their lives in defending freedom in the Republic of Srpska for all of us and we must not let them down”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic expressed expectation that 2020 would be a year of stability, noting that the Republic of Srpska institutions have been working on it since 2016.

“Every year, we are seeing better economic results, and this has given us the opportunity to increase salaries, pensions, create new jobs, work closely with our social partners and, as a result of that cooperation, make good decisions. That is not the end and it is not enough, because more can be done. In the circumstances and under different pressures we operate for many years now and I think these are good results as well. The commitment of the institutions is to work for the benefit of the Republic of Srpska and its citizens”, said the President of the Republic.

The President Cvijanović congratulated all citizens of the Republic of Srpska on Christmas Eve, Christmas and the Day of the Republic, wishing them to live in peace and stability in the Republic of Srpska.
