President of the Republic of Srpska attends closing ceremony of “Days of Srpska in Serbia”

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended tonight, in Novi Sad, the closing ceremony of the manifestation “Days of Srpska in Serbia”.

The President of the Republic pointed out that in the previous eight days, Srpska was presented in its most beautiful light in 11 local communities throughout Serbia, from Subotica and Novi Sad, through Belgrade, Kragujevac and Kraljevo, all the way to Niš.

“Tonight, Novi Sad indicates the Republic of Srpska, because in this beautiful city on the Danube River, we are ceremoniously closing the traditional manifestation “Days of Srpska in Serbia”. This year, for the ninth time, the Republic of Srpska Representation Office in Serbia successfully organised an event aimed at promoting our economic, investment, cultural, tourist and other potentials”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic said that she was especially pleased with the fact that with every concert or performance of artists, promotion of mountains, spas or economic potentials, as well as every meeting of representatives of twinned cities on both sides of the Drina River, Serbia and Srpska are closer and stronger.

“In fact, this reflects the greatest significance of this event, because our strategic goal is unity and connection with Serbia. It is important to remind here that the cooperation, as well as the level of political understanding between Serbia and Srpska are higher today than ever before. The pride of our citizens can be what we have implemented together in the past few years, and it will certainly be what we will do in the next period”, said the President of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović explained that she primarily implies the implementation of the joint energy megaproject “Buk Bijela”, as well as the construction of the Trebinje Airport and the Banja Luka-Belgrade highway, which will be the lifeblood of infrastructural integration.

“A necessary requirement for the implementation of our ambitious plans is the preservation of peace, stability and a stimulating environment for growth and development. We are ready to contribute to that goal to the maximum, although we are aware that there are those throughout the region whose list of priorities includes obstruction and the spread of hatred, instead of peace, stability and cooperation. Regardless of the destructive environment, we have our own path from which we will not deviate. We will continue to jointly mark important dates from the past and connect in infrastructural and in every other way”, it was pointed out by the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović pointed out that there are many challenges before Srpska and Serbia and that is why it is important for them to remain strong, united and gathered around their national interests.

“That is why I welcome every initiative that brings us closer and unites us, and one of the most important is certainly this traditional manifestation, which we are ceremoniously closing tonight in the heart of Novi Sad”, it was emphasized by the President of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović thanked the Republic of Srpska Representation Office in Serbia, as well as all others who contributed to the successful organisation of the “Days of Srpska in Serbia” this year.

“I would like to extend special gratitude to Serbia, which opened its doors to us this year as well and thus enabled us to present our potentials in the most beautiful light.

I would also like to thank the provincial authorities and the wonderful Serbian Athens, which hosted us tonight. Long live the Republic of Srpska! Long live Serbia!”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.
