The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović and Acting Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov signed a “Road Map” of activities in Saint Petersburg today for the implementation of the list of priority directions of cooperation between the Government of Saint Petersburg and the Republic of Srpska for the period from 2019 to 2021.
After the signing ceremony, attended by the Serb member and BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik, the President Cvijanović and Beglov expressed their satisfaction with the initialing of this document and assessed that the mutual cooperation has an ascending path and a dynamic flow, and that the “Road Map” offers numerous opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in different fields.
The “Road Map”, which refers to the strengthening of mutual relations in culture, economy, sport, trade, infrastructure and other fields, is the result of the cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Saint Petersburg, which is being implemented in accordance with the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Srpska and Saint Petersburg on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural fields from 2007, or renewed Protocol on Cooperation from 2017.
The President of the Republic and the BiH Presidency Chairman briefed the Governor of Saint Petersburg on the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH at the meeting that was held before the signing of the “Road Map”.
During a multiday visit to Saint Petersburg, the President Cvijanović participates today at the International Economic Forum in the panel session “Equal opportunities in the digital economy age”.
