President of the Republic of Srpska addresses at the event “Selection of the most successful businesses in the Republic of Srpska in 2018”

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović addressed tonight at the event “Selection of the most successful businesses in the Republic of Srpska in 2018”.

The President of the Republic expressed support to young businessmen and suggested to the organisers of the event “Selection of the most successful businesses in the Republic of Srpska” to introduce recognition in this category from the following year.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that it is necessary to introduce recognition for the best young businessman as a kind of support and emphasized that the Republic of Srpska has honest, educated, capable young people with good business initiatives, who see their chance in a private business.

“This is supported by the fact that for the Programme of Encouraging the Development of Entrepreneurship at the age of 35, the “Start Up Srpska” had a large number of interested young people. Therefore, we need to look for additional opportunities to support and promote young people and their business ideas”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic expressed her satisfaction for attending this gathering with the representatives of successful small, medium and large companies, stressing that they are all great, regardless of the volume of business, since they all contribute to the development of the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović congratulated the award winners and expressed her hope that in the coming years there will be an increasing number of candidates for awarding recognitions to successful businessmen.

“With congratulations to all those who received these important recognitions, I would like to work on the strengthening of the Republic of Srpska together through the additional activism”, it was emphasized by the President of the Republic.

The President of Srpska highlighted the strong commitment of the government for even faster economic growth and more organised and better the Republic of Srpska. “It requires the engagement of all of us and I believe that we shall continue to work together to achieve this goal”, said the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stressed that the power of the community depends on the collectivity and ability to transform individual efforts and achievements into a collective, cooperative, joint result. “I think that tonight, in a way, we are doing and demonstrating unity and strength”, it was added by the President Cvijanović.

According to her, it is particularly satisfying to know that the Republic of Srpska has successful socially responsible companies that take care of both its clients and its employees, according to the budget and social funds, the environment and the society as a whole.

The President of the Republic of Srpska expressed gratitude to the Chamber of Commerce of Srpska, the organiser of this event, and pointed out that at this traditional, recognisable gathering, the awards are given to the economic subjects who have earned this kind of attention with their business results, but also with their attitude towards the society as a whole.

The President Cvijanović also thanked the businessmen for the good communication and cooperation she had with them while performing the duties of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, noting that they overcame many challenges together in close cooperation with the trade union as a third social partner.

“I am sure that this good cooperation will be continued during the mandate of the new Government, because without good communication, there are no good joint solutions, and we are witnessing that, regardless of whether it is an important political, economic, financial or social problem, when we come to the solution together, these solutions are better and stronger than when solutions are made in isolation”, said the President Cvijanović. The President of the Republic of Srpska added that she was taught that lesson long time ago, right at the beginning of her mandate.

“For that very reason, we have managed to communicate well and to understand how important it is that all we do together makes a common solution. I am not saying that everything was great and perfect, nor can it ever be so, but I know that joint effort is always a prerequisite for a good result”, said the President of Srpska.

Stating that life does not start with any new Government, new minister or director, the new president, the President of the Republic has said that it is important to know that what was done yesterday is being upgraded today, and what is happening today is improving the next day and everyone should be committed to the same goal – to the ever stronger the Republic of Srpska. The President of Srpska reminded that with the current government, the financial and economic stability of the Republic of Srpska was achieved, that some record macroeconomic indicators have been reached since they are being monitored in the Republic of Srpska.

According to her, economic growth has also been achieved, which is a solid basis for moving further and continuing to increase salaries and pensions, to provide jobs, to implement infrastructure projects and to modernise the society in line with the trends of the modern world.

The President of the Republic noted that the Republic of Srpska has recorded a growth of GDP for the 17 quarters now, that is, from the third quarter of 2014, with the third quarter of 2019.

“Of course, there are still many challenges ahead, some solutions have to be upgraded, some of the initiated activities should be finished, we need to design and create many more of them, such as new activities and legal solutions, and strive towards higher rates of economic growth, higher employment, better salaries and pensions and a higher level of social protection and security”, added the President of the Republic of Srpska.
